Physical GUI
Overview
This is a purely
block-level (no hierarchy support for now -- that would be part
of a future floorplanning tool)
placement tool with integrated support for basic block level floorplanning
(e.g., defining placement regions,
rows, row utilization, etc.), incremental placement updates (manual
and automatic), and some additional
capabilities such as compacting/decompacting rows. The placement
GUI provides intuitive browsing/editing
capability.
When combined with
incremental timing analysis and optimization, it forms the core
of the timing closure solution.
